Visitation
- There are no restrictions placed on the time of day a visitation may occur. However, visits will be subject to manpower availability and current workload.
- Visitors must be at least 18 years of age and present a photo ID containing their birth date.
- Persons 17 years of age and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
- Only two visitors are allowed at a time.
- Visits are limited to ten minutes.
- Inmates are allowed one visit per day.
- All visitors shall be appropriately dressed; meaning no bare midriffs, shirts and shoes are required.
- Visitation will only take place in the designated visitation area. Inmates who are violent, under the influence of drugs or alcohol or pose an articulable escape risk will generally be denied visitors.
Paying Fines/Posting Bonds for Class C Misdemeanor Charges
- Fines may be paid by money order or cash (exact amount only).
- Cash Bonds may be paid by money order or cash (exact amount only).
- Posting bond through a bail bond company is also acceptable.
All Other Charges
- The arrestee must be seen by the Justice of the Peace to be magistrated prior to release.
- Fines may be paid by money order only.
- Cash Bonds - the payee must take paperwork from the City of Alvin Jail to the Brazoria County Sheriff's Department with the cash payment.
- Posting bond through a bail bond company is also acceptable.
