About Our Shelter
The Alvin Animal Adoption Center is a division of the Alvin Police Department. We employ three full-time Animal Control Officers, four full-time Kennel Techs, and one Shelter Manager - each of our employees is compassionate toward animals and love helping our pets find their forever home! We also have amazing volunteers and sponsors who make such a huge difference for our pets and our staff.
AAAC Mission Statement
Our Mission is to resolve animal control issues in our community by educating the public about applicable animal control laws and enforcing those laws as appropriate. Our focus is reuniting pets with their family or placing adoptable pets in forever homes or qualified rescue groups. We will treat all animals with respect and compassion. We will make all decisions by first considering what is the most humane outcome for the animal.
Come Meet our Pets
Our pets love visitors! Come meet your new furry family member at the Alvin Animal Adoption Center between 10 am and 5 pm, Tuesday through Sunday.
