Chief Records Technician : Police Department 

 

The Chief Records Technician supervises the day-to-day operations of the Police Department’s Records Division. We are looking for a motivated team player who has exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills who also has outstanding interpersonal abilities. The right candidate should be familiar with government record keeping practices/laws and have at least 2-years of clerical experience and at minimum a high school diploma or GED with vocational/technical training. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities will qualify. Maintenance Technician III : Parks and Recreation Division 

 

Preforms journeyman level repairs and maintenance on public buildings involving HVAC, electrical, plumbing or carpentry. Performs duties requiring functional skills in carpentry, painting, plumbing, brick and concrete masonry, metal work, plastics, vinyl wall and floor coverings, dry wall, plaster, acoustical ceiling and wall treatments necessary in the maintenance of all buildings. This position may include service or duties different from those performed in the usual scope of the job during emergency situations for the benefit of the general public. Must be able to perform duties according to detailed instructions in a strict adherence to prescribed standards, procedures and safety. Must possess a working knowledge of all materials used in the maintenance of buildings and their appropriate applications.

Electrician : WWTP Division 

 

Maintains and performs routine and emergency repairs of all electrical systems and equipment city-wide. Orders and maintains parts inventory, performs related work as required. Must possess technical expertise and perform a full range of complex duties with only occasional supervision or instruction. Requires a Journeyman Electrical Certification supplemented by a minimum of three years of experience in electrical maintenance and repair work, or training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Prefer vocational degree in electrical maintenance and repair.

Records Technician : Police Department 

 

Performs routine clerical work to assist the Captain in maintaining accurate and complete Police Department records; performs related work as required. Must be able to perform a full range of duties within a framework of established procedures, with only occasional instruction or assistance. HS Diploma or GED plus vocational/technical training in secretarial science or related field, plus up to two years of responsible clerical experience or an equivalent combination of education training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Detention Officer : Police Department 

 

Maintains the City jail facility and follows established procedures and policies to ensure the safety and well-being of prisoners, City personnel and the general public. Must be able to exercise independent judgement and perform duties according to detailed instructions with strict adherence to prescribed standards and procedures, without close supervision. High school diploma or GED, physical adeptness and good communication skills required.

Operates heavy equipment and various machinery and tools to perform maintenance, cleaning and/or repair of City streets and drainage systems.  Performs related work as required.  Must be able to perform duties according to detailed instructions with adherence to prescribed standards and procedures.  Must possess a valid Class "B" CDL state driver's license.

Operates light and heavy equipment and various hand tools in the maintenance and construction of water distribution and wastewater collection systems. Must be able to operate a backhoe. Able to perform duties according to detailed instruction with adherence to prescribed standards and procedures. H.S. diploma or GED. Must possess a valid Class "B" CDL state driver's license.
