Alvin Citizens Academy - Are you a resident of Alvin, attend ACC, or own a business in the City and want to gain a better understanding of city operations?  This class is designed to educate and encourage citizens to become more engaged and assume a leadership role within the community.  Classes begin March 2nd, 2020.  Registration begins January 20, 2020. Senior Citizen Water Bill Discount - Are you a resident of Alvin who is 65 and over?  You may qualify for a discount to your water bill.  Click here for more information.  

 

Note the new Water & Wastewater Rates for Fiscal Year 2019-2020.  More information on the rates effective for the October billing cycle can be found here

 

EMS Utility Fee - a EMS Utility Fee has been established and will begin with the first billing cycle in October.  See detailed information about this fee on the EMS Page of our website.  

 

2019 Brazoria County Disaster & Hurricane Guide provides information that could save your life or the lives of your loved ones. Be prepared!  Hurricane season begins June 1st.

 

Alvin Alerts - Get alerted about emergencies and other important community news by signing up  for Alvin's Emergency Alert Program. This system enables the City to provide you with critical information quickly in a variety of situations, such as severe weather, unexpected road closures, missing persons and evacuations of buildings or neighborhoods.


You will receive time-sensitive messages wherever you specify, such as your home, mobile or business phones, email address, text messages and more.  You pick where, you pick how.  Please note, that during emergency situations, it is critical that residents register a cell phone number that will be on hand during an emergency event.  This allows the City to communicate with you in the event of an evacuation.  More information here.
