Alvin Alerts - Get alerted about emergencies and other important community news by signing up  for Alvin's Emergency Alert Program. This system enables the City to provide you with critical information quickly in a variety of situations, such as severe weather, unexpected road closures, missing persons and evacuations of buildings or neighborhoods.

You will receive time-sensitive messages wherever you specify, such as your home, mobile or business phones, email address, text messages and more.  You pick where, you pick how.  Please note, that during emergency situations, it is critical that residents register a cell phone number that will be on hand during an emergency event.  This allows the City to communicate with you in the event of an evacuation.  More information here.

The City of Alvin Utility Billing Department has been working diligently to resolve some of your concerns regarding the new billing format,

and how it may affect your monthly EMS contribution. We sincerely apologize for any confusion the new billing statements have caused and are pleased to announce that we are bringing back the original billing format and EMS will be added into your bill total once again. As in the past, if you do not pay the EMS contribution, please remove it from your bill total.

For residents who make the minimum contribution to the City’s EMS program, the City will waive emergency ambulance transport fees, not covered by a third-party insurance carrier.

For questions and concerns please call the office at 281-388-4264.
