Public Library Board

Chapter 2, Article IV, of the Code of Ordinances provides for the creation of a library board which shall be called "The Board of the Alvin Public Library." The Board shall be appointed by the City Council and shall consist of five members who shall be residents of the City of Alvin and appointed for a three-year term. Two members may be appointed to serve on this board, that are not residents of the City of Alvin.  The officers of the Board shall consist of a Chair, Vice-Chair, and Secretary.
