Garbage / Recycling Collection Update -  Effective October 1, 2020, Texas Pride Disposal will partner with the City of Alvin for the collection of residential/commercial garbage and recyclables.  Please review the service details on this page, as some residential service days are changing for some customers. Also, please see this Frequently Asked Questions page for a lot of great questions/answers.  View the new collection day schedule here, listed by street.

Texas Pride Disposal will deliver residential and small business garbage/recycling carts before October 1st.  Waste Connections will remove their carts after their last service day.  Residents are asked to leave the Waste Connections carts curbside after the last service day until they are removed. Thank you, residents, for your patience during this transition.

Dumpsters will be delivered to each business before Oct 1st.  Dumpster sizes and service frequencies will match the current services being provided, although service days may change.

Alvin Alerts - Get alerted about emergencies and other important community news by signing up  for Alvin's Emergency Alert Program. This system enables the City to provide you with critical information quickly in a variety of situations, such as severe weather, unexpected road closures, missing persons and evacuations of buildings or neighborhoods.

You will receive time-sensitive messages wherever you specify, such as your home, mobile or business phones, email address, text messages and more.  You pick where, you pick how.  Please note, that during emergency situations, it is critical that residents register a cell phone number that will be on hand during an emergency event.  This allows the City to communicate with you in the event of an evacuation.  More information here.
